In just the last month the Lower Allen VFW Post #7530 donated $5,000 and sponsored Lemoyne Officer Richard Phelps. The Mechanicsburg VFW Post #6704 then agreed to sponsor Silver Spring Officer Paul Walters and donated $2,500. The New Cumberland VFW Post #7415 sponsored New Cumberland Officer Willis Cole.

On September 24th, Members 1st Federal Credit Union donated $5,000 to sponsor a flagpole.

To date, we have raised over $100,000!

Construction
We have consulted with sculptors regarding the statue and will soon commission one of them to begin construction. Delivery time is estimated at 6 to 8 months. We need to move quickly, in order to have the statue done in time for the May dedication.

Don Mowery and John Gleim are continuing to arrange for in-kind donations of labor and material from their partners in the construction industry. Estimates for pledged in-kind donations exceed $50,000.

Skilled tradesmen, Mike W. Smith Masonry, Joel Ramp, Quality Lawn Work and William H. Sweet, Jr. HVAC have also pledged their skills to help construct the memorial.

We plan to start construction in October of this year. The project will hopefully conclude in the spring.

New Partnership
abc27news
WHTM ABC 27 has agreed to produce a documentary film about the memorial and fallen officers. This partnership is the latest in what is truly a community project. The film will include the history of the memorial along with information about the fallen officers. We plan to make this video available online and on your smartphone for use as a self-guided tour while visiting the memorial.
