The Cumberland County Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation funds Scholarships for high school seniors and returning scholarship recipients seeking a degree in criminal justice or related majors. The successful recipients must be accepted at an accredited college or university. All applicants must be residents of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
Upon receipt of a completed application and required attachments, the Foundation, through its Board of Directors or Scholarship Committee, will review all materials submitted and make a decision as to which student or students will receive the scholarship(s).
Scholarship applicant requirements:
1. A graduating high school senior who is a resident of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania or a returning scholarship recipient who continues to reside in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and continues to be matriculated at an accredited college or university.
2. The applicant intends to seek an undergraduate degree in criminal justice or related majors. Graduating high school seniors must provide a certified copy of their high
school transcript and returning scholarship recipients must provide a transcript of their college or university grades.
3. Graduating high school seniors must provide a letter of recommendation from a school counselor or teacher concerning the student’s interest in community service and criminal justice or related majors.
